Against the Fall - Collabby *missgizmo

Last year for my birthday, I've commissionned the awesome

to draw one of my favorit OC, Liam.
I received few months later this breathtaking piece :

and the kind autorisation to try to color it.
I've wait for october to color this one, to get inspired by my favorite part of the year, between mabon and samain, and I chose some very warm color to change a bit from the traditionnal evergreen pallet I work with this caracter.
I did my best not to spoil this beauty, and quite fast I chose to make something quite simple, because complexes lighting here would have drown the purity of the lines.
The coloring has some flaws, I know, but I finished it because it pleased me this way and this was the main and first purpose of this pic.

And now a bit about the title...

Liam went into exile of the sacred forest to keep the magical source alive and maintain the dome over Paris.
But the Forest is alive and nourrishs herself with his spirit, and especially his emotions. It changes its aspects depending of the sidhe's mood.
Most of the time the Forest shows a summer face, because Liam stay this sweet and generous temper he was when he ruled at the Court.
But melancholy can occur. Sometimes the Prince feels a bit sad, a bit alone and the forest drink his emotion to change into a more autumnal feel.
Fall is dangerous, Fall leads to Winter. Liam knows that Winter could break the link between the Forest and the real world, so even if a part of himself would enjoy to merge into the autumnal beauty of the forest, when he sees the sun decline, the light changing and the leaves growing copper and gold, he fights against himself and against the fall.
